Chapter Five
GoGreen Man took Hannah Heart home. He felt horrible because he thought it was his fault this happened. He thought it was because he was upset with her about the clothes. GoGreen Man was determined to be nice to Hannah Heart. All at once, he had a suspicion. He suspected Petrol Pirate had done something to the clothes she'd bought and went to find them. GoGreen Man couldn't find them anywhere. It was strange, she loved these clothes, where would she have put them? He looked around one more time and saw the shoes that came with the outfit (for free, remember?). Aha! This could help Professor Fusionstein what was wrong.
Professor Fusionstein had been needing more information, so the shoes were a good find. He took a sample from a shoe and under his microscope noticed an unusual chemical on the polly petrol fabric. The chemical was one that caused irritation on the skin and unnatural hair growth. Okay, that was a big help, but it would not make a person lose their memory. GoGreen Man and Professor Fusionstein suspected there was more to this than just the chemical on the shoes, so they decided to run more tests. Professor Fusionstein said he needed more time and probably more tests, like DNA tests. What is DNA, you say? Very simply, it is what makes you unique and special - no one else has your same exact DNA. It's very, very, very tiny and found in everything in your body.
GoGreen Man wanted to wait for the test results, but he knew he needed to go take care of Hannah Heart. Even without the test results, he knew it was Dr. Pollution's work. He really wanted to retaliate (get back at him), but he knew he couldn't. It went against what he believed, he believed in justice, not revenge. Instead, GoGreen Man went to his good friend, Hannah Heart. It was the only thing he could do right now, is protect her from Dr. Pollution.
GoGreen Man never left Hannah Heart's side because he was so worried about her. He watched over her day and night for several days until Professor Fusionstein called him with news. He said he had good news and bad news. Professor Fusionstein said he definitely knew that it was Dr. Pollution's work. Somehow, Hannah Heart came in contact with a chemical element he didn't even know about. It wasn't even on the periodic table, so he needed more time to figure out what chemical was used. The good news was that he figured out the problem - it was DNA mutation. The chemical that Dr. Pollution gave Hannah Heart directly affected her DNA. It was supposed to make a person evil, but because Hannah Heart had such a pure heart, it didn't affect her that way - it made her lose her memory.
In order to fix it, Professor Fusionstein had to control the RNA (RNA simply put kind of related to DNA, maybe like brother and sister). Professor Fusionstein made an RNA pill, which was really good news for Hannah Heart. The bad news is that the pill will only help temporarily (won't help forever, she'll have to take all the time). When Hannah Heart took the pill, her memory came back. (Well, she didn't take it, they had to put it in her soup to dissolve.)
Everyone shouted with happiness because their Hannah Heart was back. They asked her what happened and she told them she remembered going into Dr. Pollution's secret lab. Unfortunately, that was all she remembered. Hannah Heart said she was sorry to GoGreen Man, that she shouldn't have bought the clothes from Petrol Pirate's store. She told him she would never buy clothes again from sources that destroy the environment. She thanked GoGreen Man (and Professor Fusionstein) for taking care of her and helping her get her memory back. GoGreen Man told her that he was sorry for not understanding her and he told her he was determined to protect her. GoGreen Man hold GreenVille's future success in his hands.
