Part Three
On the thirteenth day, Dr. Pollution and the Petrol Pirate put their plan into action. To block the wind, Pol Tick Al ordered the Taxin' Texan to go deep into the mountains and put up a huge curtain to block the wind. Shortly after the Taxin' Texan put up the curtain, the wind turbines in GreenVille stopped spinning. The workers at the wind farm, immediately called GoGreen Man (he is in charge of the renewable energy in GreenVille) to tell him that for some reason there was no more wind to power the turbines. This was shocking to GoGreen Man because GreenVille never had a problem like this before.
At the same time the Taxin' Texan was blocking the wind, the Petrol Pirate ordered his Trashinator 2000 (an evil robot) to use its gas nozzle on the recycled materials at the Recycle Plant. While all the plastics and papers (and petrol from the Trashinator 2000) were burning, a huge cloud of smoke rose into the air. This was just what Dr. Pollution needed and he sent his Gas Goon to suck up all the toxic smoke. It was kind of like the Gas Goon was at an all-you-can-eat buffet because the more smoke he "ate" the fatter (bigger) he became.
In the meantime, while GoGreen Man was on his way to investigate the wind problem, he saw a dark cloud in the sky that was getting larger and larger. It looked like it was going to block the sun. Oh no! GreenVille was getting darker and darker. With no sunlight, it meant there was no solar energy for GreenVille.
By now, even King Nature, ruler of GreenVille, was informed of the news about the solar and wind problems. He called an emergency meeting because without wind and solar energy, GreenVille couldn't function for very long. There would be no electricity for hospitals, schools, banks and homes - GreenVille had a potential crisis on its hands! GoGreen Man, Professor Fusionstein and Pol Tick Al along with many other officials were to attend the meeting called by King Nature to discuss solutions. When King Nature asked GoGreen Man what was happening, he couldn't answer because he didn't quite understand what was going on either. What everyone did understand was that if GreenVille lost electricity, there would be some big problems!
Fortunately, GreenVille has an emergency battery back up system, but it only lasts for seven days. Pol Tick Al grumbled that if GreenVille had a petroleum power plant, then they wouldn't have had this problem in the first place. He went on to say the whole situation was actually GoGreen Man's fault because he stopped Pol Tick Al's plans for a power plant. It was decided that if GoGreen Man couldn't figure out what to do (and fix the problem) in seven days, then a petro-gasonol power plant would be built. This is a huge challenge for GoGreen Man. Can he do it alone or does he need help? What will happen to him? Can he figure out a solution before seven days are up? To be continued.....
